Praying Monk Dining Room
at Sanctuary Resort

An underutilized exterior patio at the Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain in Paradise Valley, AZ, became an extension of the existing restaurant. Working alongside architect R. Nicholas Loope, FAIA, the space was reinvented as a new interior dining space with disappearing glass doors on two sides of the room and skylights to take full advantage of the spectacular views. Complete seating flexibility was mandatory to accommodate either formal dining, a wedding and banquet, or a meeting space. Each dining tabletop was designed with a small etching of the mountain for which the room is named, and the spectacular wine wall with custom cabinetry, and wall finishes houses well over 800 bottles of fine wine for the guests. An award winning space with unparalleled views and ambience.
